In the midst of a great trip with Samantha and Jennifer and McKenny. We just dropped Sam off with Bob and he flew her to Dallas, but she will be back next week for Church camp. At the end of the camp, we will pack up and drive to a beach house in Grover Beach, near Pismo Beach and spend a long weekend with David, Jen and McKenny, Sam and Darla and I. Dan and Becky are still trying to work it out. Hopefully they can join us.
This will be quick, but I wanted to comment on the zip lining that never should have been. I say that because we signed the kids up for Kidz Zone ( a play area for kids 3-13) for an hour and then an hour of rock climbing. Somehow the kids got in a line for what we thought was an obstacle course, BUT the obstacle course ended with a 50 foot zip line over water. It never should have happened especially given that Luke is only 9. The people running the park are not really bright and the girl that checked them through on the zip line didn't check their wrist bands and sent them on. Luke got stuck as he didn't know how to move from one line to the next (disengaging his harness line and moving to the next). They talked him through it from the ground. Sam was more up to speed and moved through it. There was one obstacle with moving "L" shaped steps that had her a little scared. She hooked up the zip line and shot across the water and I could breathe gain. They had a blast. Luke had one of the guides rappel over to his stand and hook him up for the zip line. Alicia was furious at the staff as they were inadequate at helping the younger kids. One of the staff told her that they'd had a number of people call in sick. She said, "I don't give a damn, I have a 9 year old stuck up 30 feet in the air, do something!!" Luke zip lined across the lake and landed on the other side and said, "That was relaxing!" The adventure park is owned by the city of Rocklin, but may soon be owned by the first kid's family that gets severely injured..
We had David, Daniel Becky, Luke and Alicia meet us at he house for swimming. We also met David and Miya for dinner Saturday night before the baseball game. I had River Cats tickets ad we went with Jordan next door.
I will be back at this in about two weeks to tell "the rest of the story." Good Day. Ciao.
